Print Design
In my earlier years as an artist I focused more on fine arts such as oil painting and printmaking. I studied with mentors in the hills of St. Johnsbury, VT as a landscape impressionist. Once I started using computers to produce art in college, I shifted more toward digital mediums such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. My college professors encouraged me to incorporate my fine art skills into my computer-based art of today. Keeping faithful to my teachings and continuing to learn from the old masters is a tradition that I plan to uphold.

Praying with Our Pens Poster
A Jewish synagogue located in NYC called Praying with Our Pens commissioned me to create a poster for public awareness. The client was extremely concerned about human issues around the world and was on a mission to make people aware of different crises. The subject of this particular poster was to inform people of the mass genocides in Western Darfur, Sudan. I drew the entire illustration in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool. This is part of a series of posters I did for this client. It was a rewarding project in more ways than one.

Vision Systems Magazine Ad
When I worked for Penwell, a media company providing authoritative print publications, I was involved in multiple magazine projects. The majority of my designs were produced in a program called Quark Xpress. Many of the projects were page spreads and cover designs. This is a magazine cover that I designed for a high tech company using Quark Xpress. It also happens to be my first ever published piece of artwork.
